Tamron 28-75 mm f/2,8 Di III VXD G2 (Nikon Z)

The very popular Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 zoom lens is now available for Nikon Z mirrorless cameras! It offers a versatile range of focal lengths - from wide-angle 28mm to portrait 75mm - at a constant f/2.8 aperture throughout the range. It also boasts a fast and quiet linear autofocus motor, high optical resolution thanks to LD and GM elements, and the ability to focus as close as 18cm. On sale from 4/2024.

VXD autofocus
The lens is equipped with a VXD linear motor for fast and silent autofocusing. The two VXD modules, which operate in a floating system, ensure fast and accurate focusing even during fast action such as sports photography. The autofocus works so quietly that you can shoot even in situations that require complete stillness.

Moisture protection
Tamron lenses have a weatherproof body that protects the sensitive indoors from the elements. The rugged outer shell is effectively sealed against moisture ingress at all critical points (e.g. at the focus ring), ensuring reliable operation even in adverse weather conditions.

Special optical elements
The LD and XLD elements used are made of special optical glass with extremely low dispersion, which effectively compensates for colour defects, particularly noticeable when using telephoto lenses at the extreme focal lengths.

Internal focusing
In lenses with internal focusing, the length of the lens does not change as the lens focuses and the filter ring does not rotate with it. This makes it easier to handle, especially with longer telephoto lenses, and to shoot with polarizing and graduated filters. Other advantages include a shorter focusing distance over the entire focus area and less light loss at the corners of the image (vignetting) and less aberration.

Anti-reflective and protective layers
A fluoride coating permanently protects the front lens from contamination. Oil and water droplets do not adhere to the surface, which is therefore very easy to clean.

Tamron Lens Utility
The Tamron Lens Utility software has been developed specifically for configuring compatible lenses using a USB-C cable. Users can customize its functions and update the firmware. Using individual settings, the lens can be optimally adapted to the respective shooting situation, such as photography or video shooting.
