Sony ECM-W5T Wireless Transmitter

The Sony ECM-W5T is a standalone transmitter with a built-in omnidirectional microphone for the Sony ECM-W5 wireless system. Up to four transmitters pair with one ECM-W5R receiver, so a compatible Sony camera records up to four voices, each on its own track. The transmitter records 32-bit float to its own 64 GB memory and also works as a standalone recorder or a microphone for a computer.

The transmitter attaches to clothing with a clip or a magnet and can also be held in the hand. On the side it has a REC button and a locking 3.5 mm jack input for a lavalier microphone.

A recorder in your pocket

With 64 GB of built-in memory and 32-bit float recording, the transmitter records on its own without other devices, and the REC button starts and stops recording in the transmitter and in a connected camera, phone or computer.

Input for a lavalier mic

The 3.5 mm jack locks so the cable cannot be pulled out while recording. Connect a lavalier such as the Sony ECM-L1 and keep it out of the frame.

Clip and magnet

A discreet look and mounting with a clip or magnet on clothing or other surfaces. The upright shape is easy to hold for event reports and live streaming.

Up to four voices into one camera

The ECM-W5R receiver accepts up to four ECM-W5T transmitters and sends four channels into a camera with the digital audio interface, each speaker on a separate track.

Up to 7 hours

The built-in battery lasts up to 7 hours and charges in the charging case of the ECM-W5 kit.

Ready for wind

The supplied windscreen reduces noise from wind and breath when shooting outdoors.
