The SmallRig 761 is a cold shoe mount with a swivelling ball head and an additional 1/4" screw. The set contains the ball head, a hot shoe adapter, a 1/4" screw and a wingnut. The adapter locks firmly into the camera's shoe, the 1/4" screw carries a monitor at any angle, and the wingnut holds that position. The same 1/4" screw also fits the threaded hole of a shoulder rig.
Key features
1. The cold shoe adapter holds firmly on the camera body.
2. The 1/4" screw can be set to any direction and locked with the wingnut.
3. Small, lightweight and durable.
A note on terminology: a hot shoe has electrical contacts and passes the trigger signal from the camera to the flash. A cold shoe looks the same but has no contacts — it is a purely mechanical mount.
