The SmallRig 2797 cold shoe mount with a safety release holds a flash, a light or a microphone. It bolts to a cage or a bracket with a 1/4"-20 screw and screws onto a ballhead or magic arm through its 1/4"-20 internal thread.

SmallRig Multi-Functional Cold Shoe Mount with Safety Release 2797 accepts shoe-mount devices such as flashes, lights and microphones. It secures to rigs, brackets and cages via a 1/4"-20 screw and mounts to ball heads, magic arms and monitor mounts via the integrated 1/4"-20 female thread. The safety release at one end prevents the accessory from detaching accidentally.
