Skaarhoj Tally Box

SKAARHOJ Tally Box is an Ethernet tally system with 8 RJ45 outputs for Tally Light lamps. It speaks TSL, Raw Panel and HTTP, can follow an ATEM or vMix switcher directly and is powered over PoE or from 12 V DC.

SKAARHOJ Tally Box carries tally signals from a vision mixer or control system to external SKAARHOJ Tally Light lamps on the cameras. Each of its eight RJ45 outputs carries both red and green signals for one camera and powers the lamp over the same cable. It is ideal wherever equipment from different brands meets in one production, or where a camera’s built-in tally light is too small or hidden behind a teleprompter.

Set up in minutes

Connect the Tally Box to the same network as your production system, wire the lamps in star or daisy-chain topology and choose the tally source in the web interface. Up to three lamps can be chained on one output.

For presenters and operators

A big red light on the viewer’s side makes it obvious when the camera is on air. The operator gets a smaller red and green light for program and preview, and the lamp mounts on a cold shoe or a 1/4" screw.

Not only for broadcast

The lamps also work in AV and corporate installations, for example to show the active speaker in a meeting or system availability. They can be triggered automatically by the switcher or manually from SKAARHOJ hardware buttons.

One tally system for the whole studio

Tally Box brings together equipment from different brands speaking different protocols: TSL 3.1 and 5.0, Raw Panel, an HTTP API or direct following of ATEM and vMix switchers. Older GPIO-only systems connect through the SKAARHOJ ETH-GPI converter.
