Sennheiser MZM1 Wh

The Sennheiser MZM 1 Wh is a magnetic mount for the MKE 1 miniature lavalier microphone, in white. It comes as a plate and a counterpart: the microphone sits in the holder, which is drawn through the fabric to the plate hidden underneath. Nothing shows on the outside — no clip, no pin, no hole in the garment. The white version exists because a dark mount shows through a light shirt or blouse: in white it disappears, where black would read as a shadow on camera.

Under a white shirt or blouse a dark mount reads as a shadow, and the camera finds it every time. The white version removes that problem — otherwise it is the same part as the black MZM 1.

Magnetic, no clip and no hole

The MKE 1 sits in the holder, which is drawn magnetically to a plate under the fabric. Nothing pierces the garment, so the costume is not damaged and the microphone can be moved quietly between changes — which is why theatre and television work this way.
