Saramonic WiTalk9 SRH

The Saramonic WiTalk9 SRH is a single-ear remote headset for the WiTalk9 wireless intercom. It expands a WiTalk9 kit to as many as nine people, talks to the master headset in full duplex over 1.9 GHz DECT at distances of up to 500 m, and its three-microphone ClearTalk array suppresses background noise. With the WiTalk9 BP battery it runs up to 15 hours; the battery is sold separately.

Grow a kit to nine people

Up to eight remote headsets connect to a WiTalk9 master headset, so every extra SRH grows the team, up to nine people without a hub. Back within range, the headset reconnects to the master on its own. For larger crews the headsets also connect to the WiTalk BASE station.

Two antennas, 500 metres of range

Each headset has both an internal and an external antenna and holds a stable link up to 500 m, even where the air is full of other signals. Transmission in the DECT 1.9 GHz band is encrypted, so it is secure and free of interference from other frequencies. Latency stays at or below 83 ms.

ClearTalk: three microphones, 360°

A three-microphone array with a proprietary noise cancellation algorithm picks up the voice and suppresses ambient noise from every direction, with a cancellation depth of 50 dB. Weak or Strong mode is switched with the ENC button depending on how loud the set is. Against wind, the algorithm is helped by the foam windscreen on the microphone.

Push-to-talk and mute

Flip the microphone boom up to mute. With the push-to-talk button the remote headset holds a private conversation without the rest of the team hearing it. The boom pivots 270°, so the headset can be worn on the left or the right ear.

A full shooting day

With the 1450 mAh WiTalk9 BP battery the remote headset runs up to 15 hours. It charges over USB-C right in the headset, even while in use, or the battery is swapped for a charged one from the charging dock; a full charge takes up to 3.5 hours.

Rain and wind

IPX5 protection withstands rain, and the headset copes with level 3 wind — an outdoor shoot need not stop for a shower.

LINK port

With the LINK cable (sold separately) the headset connects to a desk for monitoring or to a phone or computer for remote calls.

Intelligible even at 130 dB

Automatic gain control (AGC) and a high-volume speaker keep the conversation intelligible in environments as loud as 130 dB SPL — by the stage, in a stadium or on a busy set.
