The Saramonic WiTalk9 SE 2S is a wireless full-duplex intercom for 2 people. The kit contains one master and one remote headset (single-ear), a replaceable battery for each headset and a charging case for 6 batteries. Everyone talks at once without a hub at distances of up to 350 m, any headset can take over the master role, and the three-microphone ClearTalk array suppresses background noise.

A kit for 2 people, a system for up to nine

The kit works straight out of the bag and needs no base station. It contains one master and one remote headset (single-ear); the master headset, however, accepts up to four remote headsets, so one system takes at most five people. With the LINK cable kit (sold separately), two systems cascade and the team grows to up to nine people.

Any headset can be the master

One headset is set as the master at the factory, but any other can take over the role — hold the mute button for 5 seconds and pair the headsets again. A flat, damaged or lost master headset therefore does not stop the whole team. With three or more headsets you can set two masters and create two independent groups.

Two antennas, 350 metres of range

Each headset has both an internal and an external antenna and holds the link up to 350 m in open space, roughly 60 m with obstacles. Transmission in the 2.4 GHz band is encrypted, and adaptive frequency hopping (AFH) keeps the conversation stable even where many other devices transmit.

ClearTalk: three microphones, 360°

A three-microphone array with a proprietary noise cancellation algorithm picks up the voice and suppresses ambient noise from every direction, with a cancellation depth of 50 dB. The ENC button switches between Weak and Strong mode depending on how loud it is around; Weak is the default.

Up to 24 hours on one charge

The master headset with four remote headsets and each remote headset run for up to 24 hours. The battery is replaceable and charges in the charging case for 6 batteries; a headset also charges over USB-C, even while in use. Charging a headset that is switched off takes about 3.5 hours.

Two types of ear cushion

Over-ear protein leather ear cushions isolate noise better; breathable on-ear foam cushions suit long wear in the heat. Both are included and swap quickly.

Light and strong

The frame is polycarbonate with 30 % glass fibre, and a headset weighs 226.5 g with the battery. The microphone boom pivots through 270°, so the headset can be worn on the left or the right ear.

Talk across locations and monitoring

With the LINK cable kit (sold separately), any headset connects to a phone or computer and links the team with colleagues elsewhere via Zoom, Teams or another meeting app — a single headset is enough. Through the same TRRS jack the headset also connects to a mixer or recorder for monitoring on set.

Intelligible even at 120 dB

Automatic gain control (AGC) and a high-volume speaker keep the conversation intelligible in environments as loud as 120 dB SPL. The microphone mutes when you flip the boom up or press the button; the master headset offers Broadcast, muting all remote headsets so the whole team gets the instruction, and a remote headset has push-to-talk.

Saramonic app

The master headset connects to the app on a phone or computer with the included USB-C cable. The app shows the battery and connection status of every headset, lets you name them, mute anyone, start a one-on-one talk or Broadcast, and updates the firmware. Adaptive frequency hopping based on the phone’s GPS location lets the system work anywhere in the world.

Additional information

WiTalk9 SE is designed for teams that need their hands free — film crews, live events, broadcasting, theatre and wedding productions or conferences. Full-duplex operation lets everyone talk and listen at the same time without pressing a button, so the team stays in constant contact even on a large location.

The adjustable headband and quick-release ear cushions stay comfortable through a full day of wear. WiTalk9 SE kits operate in the 2.4 GHz band and do not work with the WiTalk BASE.
