Everything on one desk

Cameras, a presentation computer and microphones connect straight to the V-1HD+. A standalone switcher with an audio mixer lets one person run the show, and its compact size means fast setup.

Controls you already know

PGM and PST busses, a T-bar and buttons for the menu, DSK, transition type, PinP and effects. The audio knobs have signal/peak lights and unity gain markers.

iPad remote control

The free V-1HD+ Remote app switches sources, mixes audio with virtual faders, changes settings and effect parameters quickly and stores up to eight custom scenes.

All HDMI inputs offer frame rate conversion. Input 4 adds a built-in scaler that syncs and calibrates the image automatically and accepts computer resolutions up to WUXGA, with no extra hardware.

From live events and corporate settings to educational establishments and houses of worship, the V-1HD+ is inspired by the need for today’s creators to do more. Four HDMI inputs allow for mixing a variety of video sources, including cameras, computers, tablets, and gaming consoles, and with built-in scaling users can automatically sync and calibrate troublesome video sources without additional hardware.

The tactile Japanese-engineered hardware interface allows for smooth and hassle-free operation providing quick access to the system menu, downstream key on/off, transition type, picture-in-picture, effects on/off, and other commonly used functions. PGM and PST busses and a transition/fade T-Bar are also included, as are tactile audio volume knobs, signal/peak lights, and unity gain markers.

An integrated 14-channel digital audio mixer with two XLR mic inputs and selectable phantom power, plus 1/8-inch and RCA line inputs provide extensive professional audio capabilities with three-ban equalisation, high-pass filter, compressor, and noise gate, plus delay available per channel. Furthermore XLR and 1/8-inch inputs feature de-essers to clean up vocal sounds in real time.

V-1HD+ incorporates extensive real-time A/V monitoring, including a 10-window multiviewer display that can be applied to one or both HDMI outputs, as well as a powerful effects engine allowing operators to add lower-third titles, logos, social media comments, and more. The DSK (downstream keyer) layer can independently composite a picture-in-picture window on top of a video feed, which is especially useful for live and online hybrid events.

Integration with tally light systems, compatibility with Atomos external monitor-recorders and RS-232 infrastructure round out the V-1HD+ capabilities.

No extra hardware. A conventional setup needs a separate audio mixer, video switcher and recorder. The V-1HD+ combines the video switcher and a 14-channel audio mixer in a single unit.

Four inputs and a scaler. Cameras, DSLRs and a computer connect over HDMI with frame rate conversion, and input 4 also accepts computer resolutions up to WUXGA. Two HDMI outputs feed a recorder or stream and a monitor.

Audio in and out. Two XLR inputs with phantom power, a 1/8-inch MIC/AUX input for a lavalier mic or smartphone, stereo RCA and audio from the four HDMI inputs. Sound goes out via two balanced 1/4-inch TRS outputs, headphones and HDMI.

Effects on every channel. Each input has a three-band EQ, high-pass filter, compressor, noise gate and sync delay; the XLR and 1/8-inch inputs add a de-esser. The main outputs have an EQ, compressor and limiter.

A 10-window multiviewer. Preview, program, four inputs and four still images on one monitor, with audio level meters. It can be applied to one or both HDMI outputs.

Four video layers. PinP with keying and an independent DSK layer are composited over the program – for example a speaker window over a presentation that only the online audience of a hybrid event sees.

Recording control over HDMI. The V-1HD+ starts and stops recording on connected Atomos recorders, so the record button is never forgotten.
