Roland SR-20HD Direct Streaming AV Mixer is a powerful and portable audio/video switcher that makes it easy to deploy livestreaming in a business or organization with minimal training. It combines a video switcher, audio mixer, preview screen, recorder/player, and streaming encoder in one unit. Presenters can stream directly to YouTube Live, Facebook, Twitch, or by RTMP to a CDN without the need for a computer.

Packed with advanced Roland A/V technologies, the SR-20HD has automatic functions that run in the background to eliminate dropped streams and help protect organizations from broadcasting inappropriate content. The Adaptive Bitrate function monitors the network connection and automatically adjusts the streaming rate to reduce interruptions due to bandwidth issues. A mobile phone with a 4G or 5G data plan can be tethered and used as the primary streaming connection or a redundant backup. The Safety Delay function buffers up to 60 seconds of video and audio, allowing users to switch to a still image or mute the sound if anything goes wrong.

The SR-20HD is a compact AV mixer for businesses, schools and organisations that streams straight to the network without a computer. Plug in and stream

Cameras, phones, tablets and a computer running presentation software connect over HDMI, mics and other sources to the audio inputs. Then just connect the router and go live.

All streaming tasks are handled inside the SR-20HD, so there is no risk of malware or the issues of computer-based streaming on your network. Panel Lock disables controls you do not need.

Adaptive Bitrate. The SR-20HD monitors the quality of the network connection and adjusts the streaming rate to reduce freezing and dropouts.

Mobile phone tethering. A phone with a 4G or 5G data plan serves as the main connection or a backup. If the wired network fails, the SR-20HD switches automatically to the phone connected over USB.

SRT support. SRT carries encrypted video and audio over LAN or the internet: remote cameras are switched together with local HDMI sources, and a dedicated SRT output can feed another building.

Safety Delay. The Safety Delay buffers up to 60 seconds of video and audio. If something goes wrong at the event, you switch to a still image or mute the sound before viewers see it.

Dual streaming destinations. Two independent channels on the same platform reach a wider audience, or one serves as a backup for archiving and later distribution.

Recording and playback. H.264 MP4 video is recorded to an SDXC card for editing or YouTube, with stereo WAV captured separately for podcasts. Media on the card can be played into the broadcast.

Sound for every situation. Up to four professional XLR mics, a line input and a headset, plus digital audio from HDMI, USB and the SDXC card. Levels are set with faders and knobs, EQ and dynamics with the F1–F4 encoders.

Automatic mic mixing. Auto Mixing keeps the balance between microphones: selected inputs take priority as soon as someone speaks and the others are lowered automatically.

Follow the source. Audio Follows Video switches the sound together with the picture, while Video Follows Audio switches the picture to whoever is speaking.

Scenes at a touch. Five arrangements of layered sources in custom windows are stored and switched during the broadcast with the dedicated Scene buttons.

Input expansion. Need more sources? A Roland VR-4HD or UVC-01 sends uncompressed video or audio to the SR-20HD’s USB video input.
