ZEISS Compact Prime CP.2 35mm/T2.1 Cine Lens, Canon EF Mount (metric scale)

The ZEISS Compact Prime CP.2 35mm/T2.1 is a compact, interchangeable-mount film lens available in a Canon EF version with a metric scale. It covers the full 24 × 36 mm 35mm film format, features a 14-blade aperture, and has toothed rings with a 0.8 module for follow focus.

The CP.2 model differs from its predecessor—the version with only a PL mount—in that it features an interchangeable mount. Filmmakers can replace the included Canon EF mount with another standard film mount, such as PL or Nikon F, allowing the same lens to be used on both film cameras and still cameras, while keeping the setup lightweight and affordable.

The CP.2 was the first series to offer full coverage of the 24 × 36 mm 35mm film format for large-sensor SLR cameras. The 14-blade aperture produces round bokeh; the 0.8-module gear rings fit standard follow-focus units; and the 300° rotation of the focus ring provides ample room for precise focusing.

This version features a metric scale (marked “meter”) and comes with a Canon EF mount.
