Portkeys HS8

The Portkeys HS8 is a rugged 8" director's monitor with a 10-bit 1920 × 1200 panel, 1,100 nits of brightness, and professional HDMI 2.0 and 3G-SDI interfaces. It offers cross-conversion, 3D LUT output, dual battery power, and an integrated power mount for a wireless video receiver.

The 1920 × 1200 panel with 1,100 nits of brightness, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, and 10-bit display (8+2 FRC) delivers an accurate image without visible banding. Factory calibration helps maintain accurate colors right out of the box.

4K60 HDMI, 3G-SDI, and Cross-Conversion

The HDMI 2.0 input accepts signals up to DCI 4K60, while the 3G-SDI input supports up to 1080p60. The HDMI and SDI outputs support 1080p60, and the monitor can convert HDMI to SDI and SDI to HDMI. A custom 3D LUT can also be applied to the output signal.

Dual Batteries with Hot-Swap Capability

Two Sony NP‑F slots allow for battery replacement without turning off the monitor. When using a pair of NP‑F970 batteries, the operating time is approximately five hours. A lockable 7–20 V DC input is provided for extended power supply.

Wireless receiver power supply

A swivel mount with a Sony NP‑F dummy battery provides 8 V / 10 W pass-through power for a compatible wireless video receiver. This allows the receiver to be mounted directly on the back of the monitor without an additional battery.

Durable Aluminum Construction

The all-aluminum body with a replaceable protective glass is built for on-set use. Four 1/4"–20 threads with locking points and a 100 × 100 VESA mount offer a wide range of mounting options.

Quick Control and Customizable Display

Four assignable buttons, a dedicated input selector, and a rotary control allow you to quickly access the tools you need. The large display area lets you view multiple analytical functions simultaneously.

Professional image tools

Available features include 3D LUT, RGB and Luma waveforms, histogram, zebra, ARRI and custom False Color, peaking, zoom, anamorphic de-squeeze, image guides, audio meters, HDR/HLG, and automatic SDI A/B level switching.
