Product description

The PortKeys BM7 II DS is a rugged 7-inch touchscreen monitor with 2,200 nits of brightness, a 10-bit Full HD panel, two 3G-SDI inputs, and both wired and wireless camera control. It allows you to display two video signals simultaneously, convert HDMI to SDI, and control supported cameras from RED, Sony, Blackmagic Design, Canon, Panasonic, and Z CAM.

Durable 7" monitor weighing just 460 g

The all-aluminum body with tempered glass is ready for on-set use. 1/4"‑20 threads with locking holes on the top and bottom allow for secure mounting in various positions.

2,200 nits and precise 10-bit colors

The 1920 × 1080 panel with a 1000:1 contrast ratio is readable even in direct sunlight. Factory calibration provides 100% Rec.709 coverage and 85% DCI‑P3 coverage, while 10-bit display (8+2 FRC) minimizes color banding.

Two 3G-SDI Inputs and Split-Screen

A pair of 3G-SDI inputs allows you to monitor two sources simultaneously. An HDMI input and output, a 3G-SDI output, and HDMI-to-SDI conversion are also available. Custom 3D LUTs can also be applied to the SDI output signal.

Wireless and Wired Camera Control

Built-in Wi-Fi supports RED KOMODO and V-RAPTOR; select Sony cameras can also be controlled wirelessly, and Blackmagic Design cameras via Bluetooth. Optional cables extend support to RED DSMC2/3, Canon, Panasonic, Z CAM, and other models.

A dedicated motor port allows for wired control of the Tilta Nucleus-N and Nucleus-M systems. A focus scale can also be displayed on the screen, simplifying the focus puller’s workflow.

The BM7 II DS offers waveform, vectorscope, histogram, zebra, peaking, ARRI and custom False Color, anamorphic de-squeeze, zoom, custom reference JPG, 3D LUT, audio meters, and other CINENORM operating system tools.

Dual NP-F Power Supply with Hot-Swap Capability

Two Sony NP-F battery slots support hot-swapping; a single battery is sufficient for full operation. External power supply (7.4–24 V) is available via a 2-pin LEMO connector and a lockable 5.5 × 2.1 mm connector. Power consumption is a maximum of 15 W.
