The lens system consists of seven lenses in five groups and uses two aspherical lenses far more efficiently to minimize both distortion and chromatic aberration, achieving super-high resolution from corner to corner. The seven segments give the aperture a round shape that produces an attractive smooth effect in out-of-focus parts of the frame when shooting with a large aperture. This lens also features a highly reliable metal bayonet and uses multi-coated components to minimize ghosting and flare, further enhancing optical performance.
