The Nikon NIKKOR Z MC 50mm f/2.8 is a compact macro lens for FX-format Nikon Z mirrorless cameras. It reproduces subjects life-size at 1:1 from 0.16 m, and its standard 50 mm focal length makes it an everyday lens too – for portraits, street and food. It weighs just 260 g, offers a focus limiter function and has a fluorine coat on the front element.

Sharp to the edges

Optics designed for the Nikon Z mount render sharply to the edges of the frame and balance high resolution at close and far distances with beautiful bokeh free of colour fringing. Ghost and flare are effectively reduced.

Shorter and lighter

A stepping motor (STM), front-group focusing and an efficient lens layout make the lens 26% shorter and 39% lighter than the previous F-mount model.

Comfortable macro work

The camera can display the reproduction ratio and focus distance, so you can check your settings at a glance. The focus limiter function shortens focusing time in close-up shooting (requires the latest camera firmware). The control ring can be assigned to aperture or exposure compensation.

Resistant and easy to clean

The barrel is designed with dust and drip resistance in mind. The fluorine coat on the front element repels water, dust and grease – welcome when you get within a few centimetres of your subject.
