Megadap Leica M – Canon RF Autofocus Adapter (M2RF)

Megadap M2RF is an electronic autofocus adapter that lets you use manual Leica M-mount lenses on full-frame and APS-C Canon RF mirrorless cameras. Its motorised 4.5 mm helical movement enables responsive autofocus, Eye Detection, Subject Tracking and AF-C, while also extending the close-focus range of classic M lenses. The camera and lens shown in the images are not included.

Classic M-mount character with Canon RF autofocus

M2RF brings modern focusing assistance to Leica M, Voigtländer M, Zeiss M and other compatible M-mount lenses. Canon Dual Pixel AF functions remain available through the adapter, making manual-focus optics easier to use for portraits, street photography and everyday shooting.

Precise electronic helical drive

A high-speed coreless motor, globoid worm reduction and dual Hall-effect sensing move the complete lens smoothly and precisely. The 4.5 mm travel can focus beyond the usual close-focus limit of many M-mount lenses and opens up useful close-up possibilities.

AF, MF and manual macro at your fingertips

The side AF/MF button switches between autofocus and manual focus with one click. In MF mode, a double click engages manual macro mode, while a long press enters lens-selection mode. The four-step lever helps synchronise the aperture shown by the camera with the value set on the lens.

EXIF data and broad M-lens compatibility

Up to four lens profiles can be stored and selected so the lens name, focal length and aperture can be recorded in EXIF data. The adapter supports Canon RF full-frame and APS-C bodies and M-mount lenses from Leica, Voigtländer, Zeiss and other manufacturers.

Important: set the physical aperture on the lens and match it on the adapter/camera. Autofocus speed and accuracy depend on the camera and lens. Switch the camera off before mounting or removing the adapter and keep the electrical contacts clean.
