Manfrotto Black Baby Studio Stand

The Manfrotto 299B is a classic black steel low-base stand with silver anodized aluminum risers, braked wheels and one leveling leg – reaching 272 cm while safely supporting 12 kg (2.2 kg at full extension). Its wide, stable footprint and built-in wheels make it the go-to studio stand for overhead lighting, large softboxes or background supports.

The Manfrotto 299B combines a heavy black steel spider base with three lightweight aluminum sections and two risers. The rectangular legs give tremendous lateral stability, the leveling leg compensates for uneven floors, and the high-quality 80 mm braked wheels allow smooth repositioning without lifting. The top features a 17.5 mm socket plus 3/8″ and 1/4″ threads, plus the classic Manfrotto Art. 013 Baby-to-Junior adapter is usually included. At 4.8 kg it’s easy to move yet rock-solid under real studio loads.
