Manfrotto 438-14 is a levelling base with a 1/4" screw for tripods that have no built-in levelling. It fits between the tripod centre column and the head and levels the horizon quickly within a 10° range without fiddling with the legs. It attaches to the tripod via a 3/8" socket, and three anti-twist screws keep the setup pointing where you want it.
Instead of shortening and extending the legs, you only level the base under the head.
The base fits onto the tripod centre column via its 3/8" socket, and the head attaches to the 1/4" screw on top.
Adds levelling to tripods that do not have it built in.
The tilt is enough to even out common uneven ground.
Three anti-twist screws keep the head in the chosen direction.
On top of the standard 2-year warranty, Manfrotto adds 8 more years after online registration.
