Manfrotto ADAPTER FOR TRIPODS 3/8M-3/8F

The Manfrotto 120-38 is a short, double-ended 3/8″-16 male-to-female aluminum spacer specifically designed to raise Manfrotto 3263 (405) or 410 geared heads ~30 mm above the tripod top plate. This extra clearance allows the head to achieve its full 90° forward tilt and 30° backward tilt without the base hitting the tripod shoulders – an essential small part for anyone using a 405/410 Pro Geared Head on compact or narrow-topped tripods.

Without the Manfrotto 120-38 adapter, many tripods (especially travel and older models) restrict the 405/410 geared head to only ~70° forward tilt because the head’s bottom plate crashes into the tripod’s top casting. This simple aluminum spacer screws onto the tripod’s 3/8″ stud first, then the geared head screws onto the spacer – instantly restoring the full ±90°/±30° tilt range.
