Reaching 172 cm and dropping to just 48 cm, it’s the go-to broadcast/ENG/cinema system for ARRI Alexa Mini, RED, Sony FS7/FX9, Canon C300/C500, and any rig up to 13.5 kg that demands buttery-smooth moves and stability.
The Manfrotto 509HD is still one of the smoothest and most trusted pro heads ever made: continuously variable fluid drag on pan and tilt, a precise 4-step counterbalance plus patented ABR (Advanced Balancing Recorder) that memorises perfect balance for each camera setup, illuminated bubble, Easy Link 3/8″ ports, and the long 509PLONG sliding plate. The 545GB twin-strut aluminum legs with flip locks and telescopic ground spreader give fast, repeatable leg angles and rock-solid performance on any surface. Spiked feet with removable rubber shoes, full UNI/PdR 105:2021 safety certification and the padded MBAG100PNHD bag complete the package.
