The Tilta Lightweight Dual Handle Gimbal Support System is the support vest plus a dual handle for the DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3 and RS 3 Pro gimbals. The vest moves the weight into the hips, the rotating handles add two solid points of contact, and with the support straps the whole rig stays put even hands-free. The handles carry 1/4"-20 threads and a cold shoe for a monitor. The manufacturer states a 10 kg payload.
The vest alone carries the gimbal, but the shot is still steered from the wrist. The dual handle changes that: both hands have something to hold and the rig rests on more points at once.
The brackets clamp onto the gimbal’s NATO rails and carry two rotating handles. Turning them fine-tunes the angle of the wrist, so even a low grip stays comfortable for a long take. The brackets carry 1/4"-20 threads and a cold shoe for a monitor or microphone; a safety pin and a release pin keep the rig from coming apart.
The weight of the gimbal travels through the waist belt into the hips, so the hands only steer the shot. The belt has a quick release buckle adjustable at both ends and fits waists from 85 to 130 cm. The inside is breathable mesh with 10 mm EVA and 10 mm dense foam padding, which spreads the pressure and keeps the back cooler.
The shoulder straps move part of the load from the hips onto the shoulders and can be unclipped when the belt alone is enough. On the belt sit a D-ring, an expansion strap for a small tripod or tools, and a safety button that stops the vest from slipping while you move.
An adapter that holds the gimbal slides into the waist belt. The battery handle adapter takes the DJI RS 2 or RS 3 battery grip and leaves room for charging the battery; the extended grip tripod adapter holds legs of 34 to 37 mm. The whole holder sits on a NATO rail, so the height is fine-tuned without tools.
The vest, the straps and the handles hold the gimbal in several places at once. That damps the tremor from the hands and, above all, lets you shoot considerably longer than when the arms carry all the weight. The system is built for the DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3 and RS 3 Pro gimbals and the manufacturer states a 10 kg payload.
The handle brackets are made for the DJI Ronin gimbals listed above — the manufacturer does not guarantee them on other bodies. Letting go of the rig and leaving it hanging on the vest is done at your own discretion; the manufacturer states this explicitly. Check before every shoot that the safety pin is engaged.
The Tilta Lightweight Dual Handle Gimbal Support System is designed to distribute weight effectively and reduce fatigue when working with smaller handheld gimbals, such as the DJI RS series. The system features a variety of mounting points (1/4"-20, 3/8"-16, and NATO) that allow for easy integration of accessories for focusing, monitoring, and cable management.
Matte boxes and optical accessories - Lightweight components for light control that don’t weigh down the gimbal system.
Side Focus and Control - Accessories for precise manual or wireless control of lenses on a stabilizer.
Mounting Adapters and Rigs - Components for securely attaching gimbals and other accessories to a support system.
Tools and Fasteners - Essential items for mounting and servicing camera equipment in the field.
Cabling - Connection cables for video signal transmission within a camera system.
