Libec QL40B

The locking mechanism of the QL40B tripod allows users to conveniently adjust the height using the leg locks located at the top of the tripod. The flip-type Quick Lock shape is ergonomically designed, making it easy to grasp with fingers from both the bottom and sides. This allows for quick and easy installation. It carries 40 kg and comes with a tool for adjusting the locks.

The Libec QL40B is a two-stage aluminium tripod with a 75 mm bowl and the patented flip-type Quick-Lock. Each leg is adjusted with a single lock at the top, so there is no bending down while setting up. It carries 40 kg and weighs 2.7 kg without spreaders.

Height in one flip

The flip-type lock sits at the top of each leg and is ergonomically shaped, so it is easy to grip from below or from the side. Once released, the legs extend smoothly without jamming.

Outdoors and on set

A 40 kg payload is well above typical quick-lock tripods, so the QL40B handles heavier camera rigs. At 2.7 kg it is easy on anyone who carries it all day.

Handle and threads

The carrying handle comes as standard and can be removed. The tripod top offers three sets of 1/4" and 3/8" threads for a monitor or light.

Locks that stay tight

The included tool lets you adjust the locking force yourself. The Libec mechanism is also less prone to loosening than typical quick-lock tripods.

Weight hook

A hung weight adds stability in wind or on uneven ground.

Safe folding

The leg shape protects fingers from pinching when collapsing.

Generous height

Easy maintenance. With the included special screwdriver, users can easily adjust the tripod lock strength. Compared to conventional Quick Lock tripods, the QL40B is designed to maintain the lock strength for a much longer period of time.

Comfortable handle. A handle is included to make it easy to carry. The handle can be easily removed when not in use.

Lightweight design. Despite being a long aluminum tripod, the QL40B weighs only 2.7 kg. When using the carry handle, it feels much lighter than the previous RT30B model.

40 kg load capacity. The QL40B has a load capacity of 40 kg, providing a higher capacity than other quick release tripods. It can safely carry heavier camera systems without any problems.

Tripod length. The maximum height of the QL40B is approximately 30 cm higher than the current RT30B tripod with a 75mm base. With the video head and bottom strut, this tripod can reach a height of up to 198 cm. Since the camera lens can easily exceed 200 cm in height, high angle shots can be achieved without the need for additional accessories.

Smooth extension. When the Quick Lock is released, the legs extend smoothly without resistance, allowing the tripod to be mounted quickly and smoothly.

User-friendly port for accessories. A 1/4" and 3/8" threaded accessory port is located on three sides of the tripod base, providing a convenient way to securely mount accessories such as monitors and lights.

Safety design. With safety in mind, the tripod legs are carefully designed to prevent users from getting their fingers pinched when intentionally or unintentionally folding the tripod.
