Libec QL40C

The Libec QL40C is a two-stage carbon tripod with a 75 mm bowl and patented flip-type Quick-Lock leg locks at the top, so height is set quickly and without bending down. It carries 40 kg yet weighs only 2.2 kg, 500 g less than the aluminium QL40B. A carrying handle, three sets of 1/4" and 3/8" threads and a weight hook are standard; spreaders are sold separately.

Height in one flip

The flip-type lock sits at the top of each leg and is ergonomically shaped, so it is easy to grip from below or from the side. Once released, the legs extend smoothly without jamming.

Outdoors and on set

A 40 kg payload is well above typical quick-lock tripods, so the QL40C handles heavier camera rigs. At 2.2 kg it is easy on anyone who carries it all day.

Handle and threads

The carrying handle comes as standard and can be removed. The tripod top offers three sets of 1/4" and 3/8" threads for a monitor or light.

Locks that stay tight

The included tool lets you adjust the locking force yourself. The Libec mechanism is also less prone to loosening than typical quick-lock tripods.

Weight hook

A hung weight adds stability in wind or on uneven ground.

Safe folding

The leg shape protects fingers from pinching when collapsing.

The new QL40C tripod also features a practical carrying handle and accessory ports, making the tripod highly practical and easy to maintain for a long service life. At the same time, the new QL40C retains the high mobility, easy maintenance and affordability of the "QL40B" model while introducing a new lightweight and compact design.

Compared with the existing QL40B model, the QL40C achieves a weight reduction of 500 g (total weight 2.2 kg) and a folded length 10 cm shorter (total length 68 cm).

Flip-type Quick Lock. The tripod height can be adjusted with a single locking mechanism located at the top of the tripod. The flip lock is ergonomically designed so it can be easily gripped with the fingers from below or from the side. This tripod reduces the strain on the user and allows quick and easy height adjustment.

Practical carrying handle. The carrying handle greatly improves portability and is not an optional part – it comes as standard equipment. It can also be removed when not needed.

Easy maintenance. Using the supplied tool, you can easily adjust the tripod lock tension. The main advantage is that the leg lock mechanism is less prone to loosening than on conventional quick-lock tripods.

Carbon fibre tripod. Compared with the aluminium QL40B tripod, the new carbon fibre QL40C offers a lighter construction without compromising payload, rigidity or smooth operation, resulting in a weight reduction of 500 g (total weight 2.2 kg).

Compact design. Thanks to specially designed oval carbon tubes, this 75 mm tripod is extremely compact, yet sturdy.

40 kg payload. The QL40C has a payload of 40 kg, which is significantly higher than other quick-lock tripods.

Smooth positioning. Once the Quick-Lock is released, the legs move smoothly without snagging. The tripod can be set up quickly, safely and easily.

Accessory sockets. The lower part of the tripod has three sets of 1/4" and 3/8" threads that make it easy to attach accessories securely, such as monitors or lights.

Safety design. The tripod legs are designed so that the user cannot pinch their fingers, even when the tripod is folded intentionally or accidentally.

Weight hook. A weight hook is included, allowing you to hang additional weight, which makes the tripod more stable and more resistant to strong wind or in situations where greater stability is needed.
