The Fujifilm XF150-600mmF5.6-8 R LM OIS WR super telephoto lens is designed specifically for nature, wildlife and sports photography. It excels in combining extreme reach with a still easily portable design.

The lens consists of 24 optical elements arranged in 17 groups, including four Super ED elements and three ED elements. These special glasses effectively suppress the axial chromatic aberration that is common in super telephoto lenses and provide superior resolution across the entire image field and zoom range. All optical elements are coated with the HT-EBC coating, commonly used in professional TV lenses, to ensure high light transmission and minimise reflections across a wide range of light wavelengths. This treatment significantly reduces the incidence of flare and ghosting while maintaining consistent image quality from one edge to the other. In addition, the front member of the lens is coated with a fluorine coating that repels water, grease, dust, smudges and makes cleaning easier.

The lens is equipped with an Inner Focus system, in which a linear motor moves a small and lightweight group of lenses for focusing. This makes autofocusing very fast, quiet and accurate - focusing in as little as 0.25 seconds. Because the lens length remains the same when zooming and focusing, it remains well balanced, which you'll appreciate when working from a tripod or shooting handheld.

This focusing system also significantly reduces so-called "focus breathing" - an effect where the angle of view changes slightly when refocusing, and thus the size of the subject shown, as if the focal length were changing. For professional use, where accuracy and consistency of focus is key, it is important to choose lenses that minimize or completely eliminate this effect.

The XF150-600mm F5.6-8 R LM OIS WR lens features an advanced sensing and control system that enables optical image stabilization with up to 5 exposure steps. Such powerful stabilization is among the best in its class among super telephoto lenses - it allows you to shoot handheld without problems even at longer focal lengths with shutter speeds of around 1/30 second. The result is sharp images even in challenging lighting conditions, without the need for a tripod.

In addition to the standard focus, zoom and aperture control rings, this lens also offers several switches and function buttons right on its body. These include switches for focus range limiting, auto iris activation and focus lock, complemented by four buttons located on the front. These buttons can be used to lock the current focus(AF-L), recall a preset focus position(Preset) or activate autofocus instead of using the on-camera button.

The lens body is made of magnesium alloy, which provides a combination of light weight and high durability. It weighs just 1,605 grams, which is approximately 20% less than comparable lenses with the same focal range. In addition, the design is sealed in 19 places, giving the lens reliable protection against dust, moisture and extreme temperatures down to -10°C, making it ideal for harsh field conditions.
