This fast autofocus portrait lens has a high f/1.7 aperture, making it the brightest lens for Fujifilm G mount medium format cameras.

The Fujifilm GF 80mm/F1.7 offers an equivalent focal length of 63mm, making it ideal for portraits, people, street photography, reportage and landscape photography. Photographers using the GFX system can choose between the GF 110mm/F2 R WR for a narrower shot or the GF 80mm/F1.7 for a wider perspective, with the wider shot providing more creative options.

One of the main standout features of this lens is the beautiful bokeh created by the wide aperture, which achieves a stunning aesthetic quality. The lens is equipped with nine rounded blades that, together with the GFX image sensor, create smooth bokeh and dramatically separate the subject from the background. It is optically designed to minimize aberrations and ensure image sharpness throughout.

The aperture ring allows users to manually adjust the aperture or control it directly from the camera. A lock is provided in A (Auto) and C (Command) modes to prevent accidental readjustment during lens manipulation. The optical arrangement includes two low-dispersion ED elements and one aspherical element, for a total of 12 optical elements divided into 9 groups to help eliminate various aberrations and ensure high sharpness and clarity.

The surface of the aspherical element is manufactured with high precision, with a tolerance of 1/100,000th of a millimeter, which is five times more precise than standard production. This reduces the risk of unwanted 'onion rings' in the highlights of the image. The GF 80mm/F1.7 features a powerful DC motor to drive the focus group, ensuring fast and reliable focusing even when the aperture is fully open at f/1.7. It also supports Face/Eye AF, allowing accurate focusing on the subject's face or eye even when in motion.

With a compact size of only 99.2mm in length and weighing 795g, this lens is ideal for use in the studio and outdoors. It is also protected against dust and moisture in ten places and the front member is treated with a fluorine coating to repel dirt.
