Feelworld T7S PRO

The Feelworld T7S PRO is a 7-inch 2000-nit ultra-bright professional field monitor designed for filmmakers, colorists, and broadcast professionals. 1920 × 1200 resolution, 16:10 aspect

The T7S PRO is a field monitor for shooting in the sun. At 2000 cd/m² it is four times brighter than an ordinary 500-nit panel, so the picture stays readable where others give up. The panel is 1920 × 1200 in 16:10 — above a 16:9 image there is room for the menu and the tools, so they do not cover the shot.

The body is an aluminium plate that carries heat away, and there is no fan. It weighs 370 grams.

SDI and HDMI, both looping through

The monitor has both a 3G-SDI and a 4K HDMI input and output, so it connects to a camera with either interface and passes the signal on to a recorder or a second monitor. Over HDMI it handles up to 4096 × 2160 at 60 frames.

The tool set covers custom 3D LUTs, waveform, RGB histogram, RGB and Y parade, vector scope, peaking, false colours, check field, zoom, pixel to pixel, nine grid, safe-area and aspect-ratio markers, anamorphic mode, image flip and freeze, and embedded audio. Custom LUTs load over mini USB, and so does firmware.

Power and running time

An NP-F750 battery is in the box

The monitor runs on Sony NP-F batteries through a plate on the back, and the manufacturer quotes a figure for each: F550 (2200 mAh) about an hour, F750 (4400 mAh) about two hours and F970 (6600 mAh) about three hours. An NP-F750 is included, so the monitor works straight out of the box.

The alternative is mains power through the 12 V DC input with a 5.5 × 2.1 mm plug. Consumption stays under 18 W.
