Full HD 1920 × 1200 at 1200 cd/m²
The S10 is a ten-inch monitor for film, broadcast and video production. Its 12G-SDI interface carries 4K over a single cable instead of the four a signal used to be split across. The 10-bit IPS panel with 1200:1 contrast and 160° viewing angles holds its colours from the side, so several people can watch at once.

12G-SDI input, SDI and HDMI outputs
On the back there are three BNC connectors — a 12G-SDI input and both 12G-SDI and 3G-SDI outputs — plus an HDMI input and output, a tally connector and power. The signal passes through to a recorder or a second monitor without losing quality. Supported formats reach 4K 3840×2160p and 4096×2160p at 60 frames per second.

The S10 converts the signal from an HDMI camera into professional SDI, so you can feed it into a broadcast chain or a colour-calibrated SDI monitor. On set it does the opposite, sending the picture to SDI and HDMI at once so the operator, the director and the assistant all see the same thing. With a FEELWORLD L1 PLUS switcher the signal goes straight to air.

CALMAN calibration, DCI-P3 film gamut
The monitor calibrates with CALMAN software and covers the DCI-P3 film gamut, so the shades match what you will see in post. Custom 3D LUTs load from an SD card and you preview the finished look on set; LUT loop-out passes it on down the chain.

Waveform, vector scope, histogram, peaking, false colours, per-channel check field, zebra, nine grid, safe-area and ratio markers, anamorphic mode, image flip and freeze, zoom, pixel to pixel and embedded audio. Peaking outlines the edges in focus in red, green or blue, whichever stands out best against the shot.

Sliding on the left half of the screen sets the backlight, on the right the volume — without going into the menu. Three function buttons above the display can be assigned to whatever you use most. HDR mode pulls detail out of both highlights and shadows.

Two NP-F batteries at once
The plate on the back takes two Sony NP-F batteries at a time and can optionally be swapped for V-mount. It fits the F970, F960, F950, F930, F770, F750, F730, F570, F550 and F530 types; the battery and the power adapter are not part of the package. On an F550 the monitor runs about 0.65 hours, on an F750 roughly 1.3 and on an F970 around 1.95. A tally connector lights the monitor red, green or yellow on a cue from the gallery.

The menu is available in eleven languages — Czech and Slovak are not among them, the unit is operated in English. Firmware and custom LUTs load from an SD card.
