The DZOFILM Arles Prime 18 mm T1.4 is a fast full-frame / Vista Vision cine lens with a PL mount, designed for wide-angle shots, working in confined spaces, and low-light conditions. With a 46.5 mm image circle, a 16-blade aperture, a minimum focus distance of 0.29 m, and the consistent mechanics of the Arles series, it is ideally suited for professional film workflows.
The Arles Prime 18 mm T1.4 brings a wide perspective to the lineup of fast full-frame cine lenses. Its T1.4 maximum aperture facilitates shooting in low light while offering significant control over depth of field.
The wide 14–25mm focal lengths use a pair of aspherical elements to reduce spherical aberration, coma and wide-angle distortion. The series keeps neutral colour and a consistent control layout across focal lengths.

46.5 mm image circle for full-frame and Vista Vision cameras.
95 mm front thread, M86 filter thread, 0.8 MOD gear pitch, and 270° focus travel.

The 16-blade aperture creates rounder out-of-focus areas, and floating optical elements help correct the image during refocusing. The blue multi-layer coating controls flare more precisely and renders colour more faithfully.
Interchangeable focus scales in metric and imperial versions allow you to coordinate the lens with the rest of your film crew.

This official Arles Prime series sample demonstrates smooth transitions outside the focus plane and the rounded background highlights supported by the 16-blade iris.

A clearly legible metric scale, standard 0.8 MOD gearing and consistent control-ring positions make focal-length changes easier without unnecessary follow-focus realignment.
