The Datavideo VP-633 is a powered 100 m SDI repeater for HD-SDI and SD-SDI links. It helps extend a cable run; the achievable length of each segment depends on the SDI cable used. Place the powered VP-633 near the receiving end, such as next to a switcher.

A chain can use one VP-633 and up to three passive VP-634 repeaters. With good-quality SDI cable, this arrangement can support a total run of up to 1000 m. The passive VP-634 units are placed closer to the signal source.

EXTENDING HD/SD-SDI CABLE RUNS

The Datavideo VP-633 is a powered repeater for HD-SDI and SD-SDI signals. It extends an SDI cable run while keeping the system based on SDI equipment; the achievable distance depends on cable quality and the system layout.

Place the powered VP-633 near the receiving end, for example by a switcher. Passive VP-634 repeaters are placed closer to the signal source. A chain can contain one VP-633 and up to three VP-634 units; with good-quality SDI cable, the total run can reach up to 1000 m.
