Datavideo DAC-75T HD Cross Converter with Touch Panel

The Datavideo DAC-75T brings VGA, HDMI and 3G/HD/SD-SDI presentation sources into an HD video chain. It converts between supported formats and sends the selected signal to two SDI outputs and one HDMI output, with setup from its integrated 7-inch touchscreen. Use it to connect a laptop or other presentation source to room displays, recorders or encoders; stereo RCA audio or audio embedded in HDMI/SDI can travel with the converted picture. HDMI copy-protected sources are not supported.

Up, down and cross conversion

Convert supported HD and SD video formats to a suitable output resolution. The available choices depend on the selected input; supported sources include common broadcast frame rates as well as computer modes including 1920 × 1080 and 1600 × 1200 at 60 Hz.

Two control modes on a 7-inch touch display

Presenter Mode keeps everyday source selection and basic output choices simple. A separate professional setup mode provides more detailed format and frame-rate controls for the AV technician.

Keep embedded audio with the picture

Use the stereo unbalanced RCA inputs or audio carried in the HDMI/SDI input. The converter can output embedded PCM audio over HDMI and SDI, up to 8 channels at 48 kHz.

Loop-through and three simultaneous outputs

The SDI input has a loop-through connection, while the converted signal is available from two 3G/HD/SD-SDI outputs and one HDMI output for displays, recorders or encoders.

Presenter Mode for everyday operation

Presenter Mode provides simple input selection and basic settings directly on the integrated touch display. The operator selects the active input and adjusts the aspect ratio; a technician can switch to the advanced mode for output format, frame rate and audio settings. The interface labels in the image are part of the actual device.

Inputs, loop-through and outputs

The rear panel combines an analogue VGA input with digital HDMI and 3G/HD/SD-SDI inputs. SDI provides a loop-through; two SDI outputs and HDMI send the converted signal onward to a display, recorder or encoder. Audio can come through RCA or from the HDMI/SDI input. The Ethernet port is reserved for future expansion.

HDMI source limitation: the HDMI input cannot pass video from HDCP-protected sources. The DAC-75T performs format conversion; it is not a video switcher. Allow a short settling interval if the input format changes repeatedly.
