The Cartoni Master 65 is an outdoor broadcast fluid head for bulky boxed lenses, designed for cameras weighing 20 to 87 kg. It combines a wide counterbalance range with Cartoni’s latest fluid drag based on silicon film, offering almost freewheeling at minimum and consistent drag for smooth, precise moves with long focal lengths. It weighs 16 kg. Five-year warranty after registration.
The Master 65 is designed for operator comfort: all control knobs are conveniently placed, and the camera plate moves micrometrically via a handy crank under the slide for perfect camera centring.

Cartoni’s patented steel-cable counterbalance ensures perfect balance at any angle of the unique ±65° tilt range.
A crank under the platform moves the plate finely and precisely.
The counterbalance setting is shown on a digital display, and the spirit level is illuminated.
Brake levers and operating knobs are within easy reach, and a horizontal lock secures the platform during camera changes.
The quick-release dovetail plate with sliding operating knob and a second pan bar are ordered separately.

Digital displays show the pan, tilt and balance values, so you can repeat a setting exactly even in low light.

The drag and counterbalance knobs and brake levers are laid out so the operator finds them without looking and works them with one hand.
The chart shows how much camera weight the head’s counterbalance can balance depending on how high above the plate the centre of gravity of the rig sits. The higher the centre of gravity, the lower the payload the head can hold in balance.
