Cartoni Lambda 25

The Cartoni Lambda 25 is a nodal head for cameras up to 25 kg, a unique tool for refined precision, creative movement and VFX. The nodal position is set on both axes with comfortable cranks for fine adjustment. Both axes are hollow for cable passage and unlimited 360° rotation, and Cartoni’s patented continuous fluid drag runs from freewheeling to maximum drag.

A nodal head for VFX and creative shots

The underslung position allows outstanding creative vertical shots. With a standard flat Mitchell base, the Lambda 25 mounts on flat-base tripods as well as dollies, cranes and jibs.

Hollow axes for unlimited rotation

Cables run through the centre of both axes, so the camera can rotate a full 360° again and again in pan and tilt without tangling.

Fine-tuning cranks

Cranks on both axes set the nodal position precisely and repeatably.

Continuous fluid drag

Cartoni’s patented system offers a wide range on both axes, from freewheeling to maximum drag.

Underslung use

The head can be used underslung from cranes, jib arms or on dollies, giving positions a conventional head cannot reach.

Add a third axis

With the Lambda 25 Third Axis accessory the head gains a roll axis for nodal setting on all three axes.

Scales on the slides

The slides carry engraved scales, so you can set the nodal point the same way every time.

On a tripod

On a flat Mitchell tripod the Lambda 25 works like a classic head, but with nodal camera balancing.
