A black ABS isolation set used to electrically isolate a Canare panel connector from the panel. It is used wherever video signals are adjacent to audio, power, or data signals on a single panel and you need to resolve ground loops.
The Canare IU-7/16 is an isolation set that electrically isolates the panel connector from the panel. It is inserted into the mounting hole in place of a direct metal contact, so that the connector’s chassis does not touch the panel at all.
It is suitable for any situation where video is adjacent to audio, power, data, or intercom on a single panel. Without isolation, all these circuits would meet at the panel’s common chassis, creating a ground loop—resulting in audio hum and video interference.
The material is ABS; this version is black. The manufacturer also offers the set in white, red, yellow, green, and blue, so you can use the color to distinguish which signal each jack carries.
The set is compatible with the following Canare connectors—for panel thicknesses of 1.2 to 1.5 mm: BCJ-FPLVA, BCJ-FPLV-L, BCJ-FPLHA, BCJ-R/1, BCJ-HBCJK, and BCJ-DCJ; for panel thicknesses of 1.2 to 3.0 mm, it is compatible with the BCJ-FPLV01, BCJ-FPC, BCJ-FPC02, BCJ-JRK, BCJ-FC1-7/16, BJ-JR, NCJ-BCJR, FJ-JR, FJ-FPC, and RJ-JR.
The manufacturer notes: If you are using an isolation set, remove the washer and lock washer supplied with the connector. Drill the mounting hole to the size specified for the IU-7/16, not to the size of the connector itself.
We sell these individually; the manufacturer supplies the set in packs of 20.
