Blackmagic Design Studio Converter

The Blackmagic Design Studio Converter is an optional 10G Ethernet interface converter for compatible Blackmagic Studio Cameras. It transmits video, control signals, communication, return video, and camera power over a single, affordable Cat 6A Ethernet cable; the workflow is similar to a hybrid SMPTE Fiber solution.

In the production control room, it handles conversion and provides PoE power to the camera. It offers 2× 12G-SDI I/O, a 3G-SDI monitoring output, RJ-45 10G Ethernet with PoE, timecode and a Tri-Sync or Black Burst reference signal, talkback via SDI channels 13–16 and RJ-45, a 2.2″ LCD, a headphone output, and a built-in speaker.

The Studio Converter is an optional control room converter for compatible Blackmagic Studio Cameras. It uses an affordable Cat 6A 10G Ethernet cable that simultaneously transmits video, control commands, communication, tally, and PoE power.

On the production end, it provides two 12G-SDI input/output interfaces, a 3G-SDI monitor output, 10G Ethernet with PoE, reference and timecode I/O, talkback, a 2.2-inch LCD, a headphone output, and a built-in speaker.
