Battery Plate for RED V-RAPTOR - V Mount

The Tilta Battery Plate for RED V-RAPTOR – V Mount turns the camera’s Micro V-Mount into a full-size V-Mount for large batteries. The plate is height-adjustable over a 20 mm range, offers two 2-pin LEMO ports, a P-Tap and a USB-C, and has an integrated slot that mounts and powers the Advanced I/O Module (not included).

The Tilta Battery Plate for RED V-RAPTOR in the V-Mount version solves two things at once: the camera’s original Micro V-Lock will not hold a large battery securely, and the Advanced I/O Module has nowhere to draw power from. The plate adds a full-size V-Mount with 20 mm of height adjustment, four power outputs and a slot the I/O Module drops into and is powered from.

From Micro V-Mount to a full-size V-Mount

The RED V-RAPTOR ships with a Micro V-Lock that will not hold a large battery securely. This plate turns it into a full-size V-Mount for large batteries, so the build runs on what is already on set, with no adapters.

Battery height fine-tuned over 20 mm

The V-Mount plate slides: the battery can be fine-tuned 20 mm up or down. That balances the build on a gimbal or on the shoulder and keeps the media slot and the connectors clear that a large battery would otherwise cover. With the Tilta top plate a security attachment can be added, giving the plate another point of contact with the cage.

Two LEMO ports, P-Tap and USB-C

The plate offers two 14.8 V 2-pin LEMO outputs, one 14.8 V P-Tap and one USB-C, plus the contacts that power the I/O module. Total draw from all auxiliary outputs is at most 7.5 A according to the manufacturer, and the DC output works over 11–17.5 V.

Two points of contact on the camera

The plate clamps onto the RED V-RAPTOR’s micro V-mount and replaces it with a full-size V-mount. Together with the Tilta top plate you can fit the battery plate security attachment, which adds a second point of contact between plate and cage — the joint then carries a large battery even while the camera is moving.

Worth knowing

This is the V-Mount version. The Gold Mount version is a separate product at the manufacturer (ESR-T08-BP-AB) and is not in our range.

The Advanced I/O Module is not included — the plate provides the slot and the power for it.

The battery plate security attachment, which adds another point of contact with the cage, is bought separately and assumes the Tilta top plate.

The battery is not included.
