Professional-grade wireless/wired shotgun microphone with locking USB-C and full broadcast feature set. Its dual-mode design offers the flexibility to operate wirelessly over 2.4GHz or via a direct USB-C digital audio connection to ensure a secure, professional-grade link to cameras, monitors, and computers. The StudioSonic Shotgun Mic caters for a diverse range of scenarios, including on-location interviews, run-and-gun shooting, field reporting, and capturing unscripted dialog. Its high quality 48kHz/24-bit super cardioid design isolates voices with precision, even in noisy environments.
The StudioSonic combines a supercardioid microphone with 2.4 GHz wireless transmission and a direct wired connection. It’s ideal for interviews, news reports, documentary filming, and voice-over work: it focuses on the speaker, while you can use the receiver, USB-C, or analog 3.5mm output depending on the situation.

The Atomos detail shows the included locking USB-C cable and its connector. It helps keep the wired connection between the microphone and the connected device secure.
In wireless mode, the microphone transmits audio to the included 2.4 GHz receiver; when connected directly, it offers a digital USB-C or analog 3.5 mm TRS/TRRS output. The lockable USB-C cable helps maintain the connection while working on a rig. The manufacturer specifies a range of up to 100 m with line-of-sight and a latency of less than 20 ms; actual range varies depending on the environment.
The condenser capsule operates at a 48 kHz sampling rate and 24-bit resolution. The supercardioid polar pattern prioritizes sound in front of the microphone and reduces off-axis noise. The integrated OLED display shows status and settings; a low-cut filter, treble boost, and manual gain control are available.
Both the microphone and receiver have rechargeable Li-polymer batteries, so they do not rely solely on power from a 3.5 mm connection. The current Atomos guide rates the microphone for up to 50 hours over a direct 3.5 mm cable, 8 hours with a 3.5 mm-to-XLR cable, and 7 hours wirelessly. USB-C can supply power during extended use.
The microphone’s aluminum body is designed for mobile production; the transmitter weighs 93 g and the receiver 29 g. Both foam and fur windscreens help protect against wind. The kit also includes an adjustable boom mount, an Atomos quick-release mount, connecting cables, and a carrying case.
