SHORTENS THE MINIMUM FOCUSING DISTANCE

The extension ring moves the lens farther away from the sensor. This shortens the distance at which the lens can focus and helps fill the frame with small subjects, textures, or product details.

Since it contains no optical elements, it does not alter the image characteristics of the attached lens.

ELECTRONIC G-MOUNT

Built-in gold-plated contacts transmit electronic signals from a compatible lens. The camera’s autofocus and auto exposure functions remain intact.
