DZOFilm Vespid 16mm T2.8 FF (EF Mount)

The DZOFilm Vespid series of lenses with (interchangeable) PL or EF mounts cover sensors up to full-frame size (46.5 mm circular image circle), yet they remain lightweight and compact—ideal for handheld shooting, gimbals, or drones. The lens design is optimized for video shooting: it ensures minimal “breathing,” prevents rotation of the front element and changes in size during focusing, and the identical positions of the focus and aperture rings across all models ensure easy lens swapping on a rig.

The lenses have a front diameter of 80 mm (on the 16 mm version this is an extinction thread, not a mounting thread for screw-in filters), a 16-blade aperture for natural rendering of the out-of-focus background, focus and aperture rings with teeth for side-focusing systems, a focus ring rotation range of 270° (50–64° for the aperture ring), as well as a interchangeable mount system for swapping in an (optional) PL adapter (for models supplied with an EF mount). An interesting feature is the ability to magnetically attach (optional) ND filters to the rear of the lenses.
