Ulanzi MFL01 Mini Portable Magnetic Phone Flash

The Ulanzi MFL01 is a small disc with a diameter of just under 6 cm that attaches magnetically to the back of your phone and replaces its built-in flash. It offers two modes: a 10 W flash that illuminates up to two meters, and a 2 W continuous light. You can adjust the color temperature in five steps from 2,500 to 8,500 K, and the brightness in five steps as well. It also functions as a remote trigger via Bluetooth, so you can set the light aside. It weighs 59 g and delivers up to 3,000 flashes on a single charge.

10 W illuminates up to two meters

A phone’s built-in flash barely illuminates half a meter and casts harsh shadows. The MFL01 has 10 W and illuminates up to 2 m —perfect for a group photo at a restaurant or a portrait at dusk.

Warm light for the blue hour

At dusk, the ambient light is cool, making skin tones appear gray. A warmer flash setting balances the scene and gives your portrait a natural tone.

Five color temperatures, five brightness levels

Choose a color temperature between 2500, 4000, 5500, 7000, and 8500 K, and brightness levels of 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100%. This lets you match the light to your surroundings instead of having to edit the photo later on your phone.

Remote Shutter Release via Bluetooth

The light doesn’t have to stay attached to your phone. Set it aside—for example, on a tripod next to your food—and trigger the flash using the button on the flash unit itself.

3,000 flashes per charge

The 3.7 V / 800 mAh (2.96 Wh) battery lasts for up to 3 , 000 flashes at full power or roughly 70 minutes of continuous lighting at maximum brightness. It charges via USB-C and can remain on even while charging.

Magnetic attachment

Powerful magnets attach to MagSafe-compatible phones as well as to cases with a magnetic ring. Attaching and removing it takes just one simple motion.
