Ulanzi KL01 Mini Camera Flash with Built-In Color Filters

The Ulanzi KL01 is a pocket-sized system flash with a rotating color filter wheel built right into the head. You can switch between seven color effects with a single turn—no need to attach gels, no holders, and no need to disassemble the unit. The xenon flash tube with a guide number (GN) of 10 produces clean light at a color temperature of 6500 K with a color rendering index (CRI) of ≥ 96; the power can be adjusted in four steps from 1/1 to 1/8, and a single charge lasts for up to 600 full-power flashes. Weighing just 49 g, it fits in a shirt pocket.

Eight Colors with a Single Turn

The filters are built into the flash head. Turn the dial to switch colors instantly—no need to search for a gel, cut it to size, and tape it to the head. Seven color filters are available, plus a clear setting for neutral light.

Seven color moods on a single disc

Each filter changes the mood of the scene: warm correction for evening portraits, cool for nighttime streets, and rich color for fashion and product shots. Switching takes just a second, so you can try out different options right in the middle of a shoot.

Xenon flash with accurate color rendering

A guide number (GN) of 10 (ISO 100) is sufficient for fill light indoors and for overcoming backlighting. A color temperature of 6500 K ±5% and a color rendering index ( CRI) of ≥96 ensure that skin tones don’t take on a green cast and that clothing colors appear accurate without additional corrections.

Four Power Levels

Use the M button to switch the power between 1/1, 1/2, 1/4, and 1/8. Lower power means shorter recharge times and longer battery life—ideal for fill light, where the flash is used only to brighten shadows.

Fast recharge between flashes

At 1/8 power, the flash can handle a continuous burst; at full power, it recharges in 2.5 seconds. The recharge time is 0.8 seconds at 1/4 power and 1.8 seconds at 1/2 power.

Up to 600 flashes per charge

The built-in 3.8 V / 400 mAh (1.52 Wh) rechargeable battery lasts for up to 600 flashes at full power. It charges via USB-C (5 V/1 A) in about 1.5 hours—using the same cable as a phone.

49 grams, fits in your pocket

Dimensions: 53.5 × 43 × 37 mm; weight: 49 g. You can carry the flash in your jacket pocket or in a side compartment of your bag and attach it when needed.

Universal hot shoe

The single-pin hot shoe fits most digital cameras with a center contact. The flash operates in manual mode, so it is not tied to any specific brand’s system.
