Cooling that watches the temperature for you

A thermometric chip with 71 PN junctions, high-density aluminium fins and a 5000 RPM fan draw heat away from the camera body. The NTC sensor holds a constant 8 °C, prevents condensation and saves power.

Semiconductor chip and fan

The cooler uses semiconductor cooling with a thermometric chip with 71 PN junctions, high-density 6063 aluminium alloy heat sink fins and a 5000 RPM fan. A magnetic protective shell dissipates heat and a thermal silicone pad carries it away from the camera body.

Three modes and an LED indicator

Silent mode (level 1), fast cooling (level 2) and AUTO mode with intelligent temperature control. A real-time LED indicator shows the temperature: blue light below 36 °C ±3 °C, red above it.

The difference after an hour of recording

A thermal image after 1 hour of continuous recording at a room temperature of 27 °C shows a minimum temperature of 2–5 °C with the Ulanzi CU01 and 8.5–13 °C with a cooler from another brand. The data come from the Ulanzi lab.

Parts of the cooler

On top you will find the pin contacts, the temperature indicator, the function button and the gear indicator, on the side the Type-C port and a magnet. The underside carries a highly efficient thermal conductive surface and the spring mount.
