The Tilta TA-T79-QRMB-SG is a magnetic quick release baseplate for the Insta360 Ace Pro 1 and 2, X5, X4 and X4 Air action cameras. It attaches to the camera magnetically — simply and reliably — and offers a 1/4"-20 thread and a two-prong action camera mount underneath, so the camera goes onto a selfie stick, a tripod or, via a suction cup, onto a car. The Tilta TA-T79-QRMB-SG is a baseplate for the Insta360 Ace Pro and X series: it holds onto the camera magnetically and adds the standard action camera accessory interfaces.

Magnet: on, off, done

The baseplate holds onto the Insta360 camera with a magnetic connection that is simple yet reliable. Put the camera on and it stays; to release it, just press the PRESS latch on the side of the plate. No screwing, no key — exactly what you need when handheld vlogging, a selfie stick and a tripod take turns over the day.

1/4"-20 thread and two-prong mount

Underneath, the plate has two standard interfaces: a 1/4"-20 thread for tripods, articulating arms and common mounts, and a two-prong action camera mount that takes most action camera accessories — selfie sticks, clips and handlebar mounts. It is ideal for putting the Insta360 Ace Pro 2 on a selfie stick for vlogging or for unusual shooting angles.

For the Ace Pro and X series

One plate for the Insta360 Ace Pro 1 and 2 as well as the X5, X4 and X4 Air. It is light — it weighs just an ounce (28 g) — so it does not weigh the camera down, and it is made of aluminium alloy with stainless steel. It gets onto a vehicle via the optional Tilta universal 4.5" suction cup kit for action cameras.

Tilta builds its own line of parts for Insta360 action cameras: full camera cages for the Insta360 X4 and X5, a horizontal mounting plate for the X5 cage and this magnetic baseplate shared by the Ace Pro and X series. Alongside them sits a universal 4.5" suction cup kit for mounting the action camera to a vehicle. The parts share the 1/4"-20 thread and the two-prong action camera mount, so they combine with each other and with common action camera accessories.
