The Tilta Mounting Baseplate with Wooden Grip is a mounting baseplate with wooden grip for the Fujifilm X100VI — an L-shaped aluminum-alloy part with a walnut grip. The camera sits more securely and comfortably in the hand, and the bottom plate takes an ARCA quick release plate for a tripod or gimbal. It weighs 68 g and comes with two leather strap buckles. The silver finish matches the silver X100VI body.

The Tilta Mounting Baseplate with Wooden Grip for Fujifilm X100VI is the foundation of the Vintage Camera Cage series: the plate under the body turns into a wooden grip at the front, giving the X100VI what it lacks out of the box — a proper hold for the right hand. The ARCA adapter, thumb bracket and the other parts of the series build on the same plate.

Walnut wooden grip

The grip is turned from walnut and shaped for the fingers of the right hand, which have nothing to hold on the bare X100VI body. With it the camera sits firmly and comfortably even through a full day of shooting, and wood suits the retro look of the X100VI more naturally than rubber. The plate under the body is machined from aluminum alloy to 136 × 63 × 73 mm and the whole part weighs just 68 g — it does not turn the compact into a gripped body, it just gives it a hold.

The underside of the plate is ready for an ARCA quick release plate: with the Tilta TA-T70-AA adapter (not included) the X100VI clicks into the clamp of a DJI Ronin S gimbal or a light tripod such as the Tilta VT-05. The box also holds two Tilta leather strap buckles, which attach the strap to the rig and release it easily, and an accessory kit with screws and Torx keys. The Tilta cage system

A Tilta cage is only the start: every series has parts designed for the camera body — top handles, side handles with a REC button, HDMI and USB-C cable clamps, battery plates, 15 mm rod holders, lens adapters and ARCA or NATO interfaces. The parts share 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with locating pins, NATO rails and cold shoes, so they combine across series. This part is one of them.
