Tilta Mirage Motor 14500 Power Supply

The Tilta MB-TM-PS power supply is a holder for a single 14500 cell (3.7 V) that slides straight onto the Mirage wireless motor. The motor then runs without a cable and without drawing from the camera — a latch holds the holder and releases it with one move. The battery is not included; when the motor is idle, disconnect the holder or the cell slowly drains.

The Tilta 14500 Power Supply for Mirage Motor is a lightweight power supply designed for the Tilta Mirage wireless motor that turns the VND module. The motor otherwise takes power over USB-C; this holder replaces that with a single 14500 battery and sits directly on the motor, so no cable runs to the matte box.

Slides onto the motor

The holder has contacts on its underside and a quick-release slide: set it onto the Mirage wireless motor, it clicks in and the motor is powered at once. A locking toggle keeps it in place, and the same move also releases the motor cover — which slides onto the motor in place of the holder when powering over USB-C, protecting the gear. The build stays compact: the power supply is light, adds little to the matte box and gets in the way of neither cartridges nor hood.

A single 14500 cell

Inside is room for one 14500 battery at 3.7 V, a cell the size of an AA battery. The battery is bought separately — it is not in the box. Two things for use: while the holder is on the motor, do not power the motor over USB-C at the same time; and when the motor is not in use, remove the battery or take the holder off, because even a switched-off motor draws a small current from it. The body is aluminum alloy and plastic with stainless steel contacts, black like the rest of Mirage.

The Tilta Mirage matte box

Mirage is a lightweight matte box for 95 mm circular filters: it mounts to the lens with an adapter ring matching the filter thread, filters sit in stackable cartridges and an optional wireless motor turns the VND module. The parts of the Mirage family combine — rings, cartridges, VND, 15 mm rod support and hood all belong to the same matte box, including this one.
