Teradek Live Prism 801 Base Rack System 1U

The Teradek Prism 801 Base Rack System 1U is a compact 1RU chassis for the modular Prism IP-video platform. It accepts up to three separately available Prism encoder and/or decoder cards, allowing a single standard rack installation to be configured for video encoding, decoding, streaming, and conversion to suit the job. Two RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet ports provide network connectivity for low-latency IP workflows and management of the installed cards.

The chassis is intended for professional installations that need to scale by adding or changing modules rather than replacing an entire system. Its integrated 250 W power supply delivers up to 15 W to each installed card; the aluminum chassis measures 431.8 × 307.3 × 44.5 mm and weighs 2.5 kg. Prism cards are not included—installed compatible modules determine the available formats, codecs, and video functions.

Prism 801 provides a compact 1U base for low-latency and 4K HDR/HEVC workflows according to the installed cards. Its configuration can be tailored to the application without mistaking the chassis itself for a complete encoder or decoder.
