Sony VMC-BNCU1 Timecode Adapter

The Sony VMC-BNCU1 Timecode Adapter feeds timecode from a generator with a BNC connector into the USB Type-C® port of the Sony FX5 Cinema Line camera. In multi-camera shoots every clip carries the same timecode, so footage lines up in the edit without manual searching. The adapter needs no external power, and its cable is approximately 200 mm long.

One end of the adapter plugs into the FX5's USB Type-C port; the other takes timecode from a generator through a cable with a BNC connector.

The adapter only receives timecode and has no output. The FX5 then records with the same timecode as every other camera and recorder connected to the same generator.
