Aluminium SmallRig 1661 cage for the Sony A6000, A6300, A6500 and NEX-7. It protects the body and adds accessory mounting points while leaving the SD card slot, battery compartment and every control accessible. The built-in cold shoe takes a mic or an EVF.

SmallRig Sony A6000/A6300/A6500 ILCE-6000/ILCE-6300/ILCE-6500/Nex-7 Camera Cage 1661 is a formfitting aluminium exoskeleton that protects the camera and offers mounting options for accessories. With the camera in the cage you still have access to the SD card slot, the battery compartment and all camera controls.

The built-in shoe mount connects light accessories such as a microphone or an EVF mount. A 1/4"-20 threaded hole at the front takes the 15mm Micro Rod with 1/4" Thread 915 for follow focus. For handheld shooting, adding a top handle is a good choice. The cage is also compatible with the Sony A6500 Wooden Handgrip 1970 and can carry the HDMI Cable Clamp 1822 to protect the HDMI port. The Metabones Lens Adapter Support 1787 can be purchased separately to relieve the lens port under a long, heavy lens. The front of the cage is designed for anti-twisting and good heat dissipation. For further external accessories the optional cold shoe 2060 is available.
