SmallRig Half Cage for Nikon ZR 5905

A lightweight half cage for the Nikon ZR that mounts without removing the DJI RS gimbal quick-release plate. A built-in Arca-Swiss plate moves it between tripod and gimbal, and a HawkLock NATO rail carries handles and monitors.

The SmallRig Half Cage for Nikon ZR 5905 is purpose-built to improve camera expandability and simplify gimbal mounting workflows. Designed with a lightweight half-cover structure, it allows quick and effortless installation without detaching the DJI RS gimbal’s quick-release plate—saving valuable setup time during shoots.

The base features a built-in Arca-Swiss quick release plate, enabling direct mounting on Arca-type tripods such as ID 5290 and 4222B, as well as DJI stabilizers including RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3 Pro, and RS 4 Pro. This ensures rapid transitions between tripod and gimbal setups, significantly improving workflow efficiency.

For maximum versatility, the cage provides multiple expansion options including 1/4"-20 threaded holes, 1/4"-20 locating holes, and ARRI 3/8"-16 locating holes, allowing attachment of accessories such as top handles (ID 3765, 4927) and magic arms (ID 5308, 4900). The integrated HawkLock quick release NATO rail supports compatible top handles (ID 5632, 4483), side handles (ID 5633, 4485), and monitor mounts (ID 4487). Additionally, a built-in QD socket accommodates QD shoulder straps (ID 4118B), while dedicated strap slots support wrist straps (ID 3848) and shoulder straps (ID 4884, 5208).

A magnetic double head wrench is securely stored at the bottom of the cage, providing convenient access for quick assembly and disassembly. Constructed from durable aluminum alloy with silicone padding for protection, this cage delivers both reliability and comfort in professional shooting environments.
