SmallRig CINE 4 x 5.65" White Mist 1/8 Filter 4743

The SmallRig CINE White Mist 1/8 diffusion filter in the 4 x 5.65" format scatters light gently and blooms highlights into a soft glow. Its B270 optical glass with 22 anti-reflective layers repels water and grease and fits standard matte boxes.

A diffusion filter scatters the light passing through and takes the hard edges off the picture without blurring it. Highlights around lamps and reflections bleed into a gentle glow, skin softens and the image picks up the feel of older lenses. The effect happens in the glass itself, so it responds to the real light in the scene.

The surface repels water and grease, so drops run off and fingerprints wipe away without smears; the coating also stands up to cleaning in the field.

The 4″ × 5.65″ size is the cinema standard, so the filter fits common matte boxes and filter trays. It is not screwed onto the lens but slid in front of it, which allows several filters to be stacked and swapped without touching the lens.
