Five inches, 1,000 nits, Full HD

The 4.97″ IPS display with 443 PPI shows the camera image sharply even in daylight. It is operated by touch, a joystick or two custom function buttons.

A bright display for outdoor work

The IPS panel with 1,000 nits, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and 10-bit processing (8-bit panel) stays readable in daylight. The refresh rate is 60 Hz and the backlight is adjustable.

SDI and HDMI in and out

The BNC 3G-SDI connectors accept up to 1080p60, the full-size HDMI 2.0 Type A up to 2160p30 or 1080p120. The monitor converts HDMI to SDI and back and can send a LUT-applied image downstream. Audio from HDMI and SDI is monitored on the 3.5 mm headphone jack and metered on up to 8 channels.

Three locking USB-C ports

The PVC port (power, video, communication) handles power input or output, DisplayPort Alt Mode video input and USB data – depending on the connected device, cable and firmware. Two further USB-C ports supply 5 V / 1.5 A accessory power and carry data for camera control, firmware updates, LUTs and screen grabs on a flash drive.

Battery or rig power

A built-in plate on the back takes one Sony L-series battery. External power goes through the 2-pin locking connector at 10–17 V; a 12–15 V supply with about 2.5 A is recommended. The monitor alone draws 10 W, 35 W maximum.

LUTs for preview and output

A 33-point calibration LUT stored in the monitor, 17-point user LUTs from removable media and a LUT on the SDI, HDMI or PVC output. Import from a USB drive or the Fleet Control app.

Anamorphic de-squeeze

De-squeeze of 0.75×, 1.33×, 1.5×, 1.66×, 2.0× and 2.5× for shooting with anamorphic lenses.

Mounting on four sides

Four 1/4″-20 mounting points on the top, bottom and sides with ARRI locating pins hold the monitor in any position without twisting.

Ready for camera control

2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and the USB-C ports are prepared for controlling ARRI, Sony VENICE and RED cameras. The function will arrive with a software update; licenses are sold separately.
